“Technology for all”: free courses on digital technologies for the elderly by COSMOTE

The free educational program “Technology for all” by COSMOTE enables more elderly people to familiarize themselves with new technologies and enhances their digital skills. Courses start in May in Attica and Thessaloniki.
This program offers the elderly, without any previous experience, the necessary skills and knowledge to use the tablet and touchscreen technologies, to navigate the internet and utilize social media networks for their communication, as well as to use various applications such as Google maps, Notes, email etc. thus, making their daily lives better and easier.
For seven years, COSMOTE reinforces elderly peoples’ digital skills through initiatives of sustainable development. Until today, more than 11,000 people have been trained.

Dimitris Kampanaros Ph.D. Gerontologist-Psychologist is responsible for the scientific supervision of the program “Technology for all”. OTE Academy is the training agent while, COSMOTE e-Value provides telephone customer services.
Courses will be held at the facilities of ΟΤΕAcademy (Maroussi & Thessaloniki) and at the “Open Schools” of Municipality of Athens (Pagrati, Petralona, Ambelokipi). For more info and participation, call at +30 210 6249300 (Monday to Friday 09.00 – 21.00).
The technological equipment (tablet) of the program is provided by LENOVO. The program Open Schools of Municipality of Athens is implemented by the founder donor “Stavros Niarchos Foundation”. Athens Partnership is responsible for the coordination with the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation support of actions.
